The main advantage of StarWalker is the use of paco-, nano-, micro-, and millisecond ranges in one machine, which allows eliminating pigmentation of any level of complexity.

The combination of 4 wavelengths (1064 nm, 532 nm, 585 nm, and 650 nm) and different pulse length ranges in the Fotona StarWalker® MaQX laser provides a total of 14 different modes of operation and allows performing unique combinations of treatments. For example, the rejuvenation treatment can be combined with removal of hyperpigmentation.
Such power combined with special pulses provides controlled photomechanical tissue treatment and guarantees faster and more effective procedures.

In the laser system Fotona StarWalker® MaQX, special attention has been given to the safety of the treatments, which is achieved with the VCT (Vacum Cell Technology) by transmitting the laser beam through the vacuum elements of the OPTOflex® articulated arm (fig. 3 and 4) rather than through an air-filled arm. Thanks to this patented design of the arm, the laser beam power is divided more evenly, making the procedure more effective and safer for the patient.
Another development of the Fotona company is the FracTat technology used in the StarWalker® MaQX system, which allows reducing the number of the procedures required for the removal of pigment and reduces the load on the lymphatic system.
While traditional nanosecond lasers use a beam to break down only the top layer of the pigment (the deeper layers are covered by the higher levels), meaning that a satisfactory result requires quite a few treatments (sometimes up to 20!), the FracTat technology creates a net of micro holes in the dermis before removing the pigment using a fractional handpiece, and only then is a laser beam applied in the pigment removal mode several times.
The micro holes in the dermis mean that the interval between the laser applications is short (the gas bubble which inevitably appears on the tissue disappears very quickly). Moreover, some of the pigment is eliminated through the holes together with droplets of blood, reducing the load on the lymphatic system.
Some treatments require a recovery period of 3-7 days.

All in all, I had my 8th laser hair removal treatment today at Nostrum Clinic. What can I say? The result has exceeded all my expectations! I have forgotten all about waxing, sugaring, and now I need my razor only once a month! This is a very progressive, modern, and aesthetically pleasing clinic. The first evening after the treatment, my facial skin was a little dry and I felt slight pulsating discomfort. The following 2-3 days, my face was clearly red, and then the skin started peeling off. On day 6-7, I was able to go outside, even without makeup. I can feel that my skin has become noticeably smoother and the scarring less prominent.
